Where to go for New Year’s Eve in Prague (2025)

Saying goodbye to the old year at a table full of delicacies and stepping into the new one with a glass of premium sparkling wine, cava, or champagne – does that sound like a perfect plan? I have prepared a selection of my favorite restaurants that are preparing special New Year’s Eve menus, including prices and direct links to their offers. Don’t forget that spots disappear quickly and reservations are a must.

Alcron Restaurant

New Year’s Eve in an elegant setting with a luxurious tasting menu, that is New Year’s Eve at Alcron. The evening will begin with sturgeon caviar and Perigord truffle, followed by scallops, pumpkin tortellini, and lobster bisque with poached lobster. The main course is beef tenderloin with caramelized Jerusalem artichoke and truffle jus. A sweet finish will be provided by rooibos tea sorbet and chocolate pavé. The restaurant also offers a full-fledged vegetarian and vegan option.

Greenhouse Restaurant

Greenhouse Restaurant has prepared an elegant 5-course menu with a choice of main courses. The dinner begins with an amuse-bouche in the form of carrot tartare with truffle. Next are baked scallops with ‘nduja or a vegetarian variant with butternut squash and sea buckthorn. After Jerusalem artichoke soup, guests can choose between Czech Wagyu beef with truffle and Albufera sauce or ravioli filled with Taleggio cheese. The conclusion of the evening belongs to Brie cheese with truffle or sorbet and a sweet finish in the form of a “pink” Pavlova or strawberry cake with champagne.

Kampa Park Restaurant

Kampa Park Restaurant, under the leadership of Marek Raditsch, has prepared a menu full of luxurious flavors for New Year’s Eve night. You can taste, for example, Beef Rossini with foie gras or bluefin tuna. The evening will be accompanied by a DJ, saxophonist, and singer. Guests can choose from several zones of the restaurant, including the exclusive “front row” by the water. A vegetarian menu is also prepared.

La Finestra in Cucina Restaurant

La Finestra in Cucina invites you to a magnificent celebration of the end of the year in Italian style full of exclusive ingredients. You can start the festive dinner with beef tartare with white truffle, gambero rosso prawn crudo with passion fruit mayonnaise, fried calamari with sturgeon caviar, or roasted foie gras on Barolo wine. Lovers of pasta and rice can choose tagliolini with white truffle or creamy porcini risotto. The main courses are dominated by lobster thermidor with saffron and veal steak Rossini with white truffle, but there is also a bluefin tuna fillet with red wine sauce on offer. The sweet dot at the end is traditional panettone with fig sauce and vanilla ice cream.

La Gare Restaurant

Ending the year in French style, that is what Brasserie La Gare promises. Live music performed by a trumpeter will accompany guests throughout the evening, and an exclusive eight-course menu will be served. The meat variant is again a showcase of luxurious ingredients – you can look forward to beef tenderloin with truffle, Jerusalem artichoke soup with smoked eel and caviar, sole, or pigeon breast with foie gras. The restaurant also offers a thoughtful vegetarian version with cauliflower carpaccio or fried pumpkin.

Mlýnec Restaurant

Mlýnec Restaurant beckons with an unforgettable New Year’s Eve with one of the most beautiful views in Prague – directly of the illuminated Charles Bridge. A six-course tasting dinner awaits you, accompanied by live music, which will turn into a dance party with a DJ after midnight lasting until three in the morning. The evening also includes a New Year’s buffet and an open bar. The menu is a showcase of luxurious ingredients. It starts with smoked tartare with caviar, followed by delicate poached lobster and ravioli with guinea fowl and foie gras. The fish course presents baked turbot with champagne sauce, while the meat highlight is an exclusive Wagyu steak with truffle.

Taro Restaurant

Taro Restaurant, under the leadership of Chef Khanh, will prepare an evening inspired by Vietnamese flavors for New Year’s Eve. The menu is served carte blanche style, which means the exact composition of dishes is revealed only at the table, course by course. You can expect festive ingredients such as aged meat, lobster, and truffles, balanced by the fresh and bold flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.

A magnificent celebration of the arrival of the new year with one of the most beautiful views of Prague. Terasa U Zlaté studně has prepared an exclusive tasting menu that combines luxurious ingredients such as duck foie gras, king crab, sole, or Japanese Wagyu A5 beef in a “Surf & Turf” style with lobster. The dinner is accompanied by top-notch wine pairing and concluded with Louis XIII cognac or 25-year-old whisky. A DJ will accompany the entire evening. The price includes unlimited wine consumption within the pairing, an open bar, a midnight snack on the terrace with oysters, and an unlimited toast with Taittinger champagne.

The Eatery Restaurant

At The Eatery, the New Year’s Eve menu is carried in the spirit of modern Czech gastronomy with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. The dinner will kick off with an amuse-bouche and a light carpaccio of pickled white radish and fennel with smoked beetroot. Subsequently, guests can choose between a foie gras terrine with gooseberry jam and Christmas bread, or a warming creamy pumpkin soup with duck prosciutto. The main course offers a choice between grilled beef tenderloin with pulled shoulder and a brioche dumpling or a baked pikeperch fillet with caviar sauce. A sweet conclusion will be ensured by a laskonka with milk chocolate, brittle, and candied orange.

A celebration of the end of the year at the highest level under the baton of Chef Maroš Jambor. Zlatá Praha beckons with an unforgettable nine-course dinner focused on the best seasonal flavors, accompanied by live jazz music with Elena Sonenshine. The price includes not only the luxurious New Year’s Eve menu but also a glass of Krug champagne upon welcome and at midnight. Guests also have entry to an exclusive afterparty in the Grand Ballroom included in the price, with a live concert, DJ, open bar, and midnight buffet. Carefully selected wine pairing can be purchased with the dinner.
