Goat Farm Vizovice is a small family business specializing in the production of fresh and aged goat cheeses, kefir, and milk. However, the farm has become especially famous for its original goat milk ice cream.
The reason for starting to make ice cream was simple. The farm just wanted to find a sensible way to use up surplus goat milk.

The ice cream made at Goat Farm Vizovice is top-notch, even though they do not consider themselves ice cream makers. The most original flavor is the black goat milk ice cream Phoenix (vanilla with activated charcoal), but other flavors have also earned recognition. The kefir goat milk ice cream from Vizovice won in the Regional Food of the Zlín Region competition. The vanilla goat milk ice cream was named the best at the Prague Ice Cream Festival, and the cherry ice cream received the Pearl of Zlínsko award.
Goat milk ice cream was also the reason for my visit. On the recommendation of the farm owner (who runs everything with just his wife), I tried the almond ice cream, and my sister went for the pistachio. I can easily say that the almond ice cream was the best ice cream I have tasted this year (and I regularly visit Prague ice cream parlors like Crème de la Crème, Pugo Gelato, or Angelato). The flavor was outstanding. In fact, for making the ice cream, the farm purchased machines directly from Italy and even uses Italian flavor pastes for ice cream.
At the same time, I was searching for that typical “goat” flavor sometimes found in goat cheeses, but I could not find it in the ice cream.

Goat Farm Vizovice also sells cheeses they produce, available fresh, aged, or marinated in oil. Sales literally take place over the fence; you ring the bell for the owner, and you can pay by cash or card.
During my visit, I took home aged, smoked, and goat cheese marinated with garlic in oil. After all, what better way to support small local producers than this?
It is also a pleasure to chat with the owner, who is truly passionate about raising goats, making ice cream, and cheese, and is happy to share his stories and experience.

If you are passing through Vizovice, I definitely recommend stopping for goat milk ice cream or cheese. You will not regret it!
Bon appétit!
