Beef & Beer Restaurant: Beef and Beer in Uherské Hradiště
Beef & Beer in Uherské Hradiště is a restaurant focused on beef and quality beer.
Steaks, burgers, ribs, tartare, and beer. That’s exactly what Beef & Beer specializes in. For me, it was a recommended lunch stop on the way from the nearby Živá voda in Modrá.
We tried almost the entire lunch menu, from tagliatelle with perfectly grilled beef, through the somewhat small portion of grilled pork neck with green beans, to the absolutely flawless and beautifully presented sweet yeast buns with vanilla sauce. From the regular menu, the cheddar burger with fries and cheddar mayonnaise did not disappoint.
One thing that might surprise you about the restaurant is that it’s located on the first floor (a misfortune, as Zdeněk Pohlreich would say), but during lunchtime, it was completely full. Even so, the service was fast and attentive. Beef & Beer is part of the Kolektiv group of restaurants, which also includes my favorite Prague Výčep.
If you’re passing through Uherské Hradiště, Beef & Beer is definitely worth a visit.

Update October 2025: Beef & Beer is now called Mexikána, but the premises, Google Maps profile, and probably the team remain the same. Unfortunately, my review now refers to a business that no longer exists.
