Kërnacka Korçe are elongated sticks made from minced meat, most commonly beef or lamb, seasoned with salt, pepper, and other spices, then fried or grilled. This is a traditional Albanian dish, and it ranks among the best-known and most characteristic foods of the Korçë region in southeastern Albania.

I tasted kërnacka at the restaurant Zgara Te Çunat in the town of Himarë (see Where to Eat in Albania). It was absolutely perfect – juicy, slightly spicy, and full of bold flavor. One portion cost 500 ALL (5 EUR).
Bon appétit!
