What to Eat in Catania
Sicily is famous for its cuisine and it is no different in the case of Catania. Start your day at the Savia café, where you can have Rame di Napoli biscuits with your coffee. For lunch, try swordfish rolls and parmigiana as an appetizer, reserve a table for the evening at the excellent Vuciata restaurant, and on your way home, visit the hipster Vermut bar.
What to Eat in Catania:
- Pasta alla Norma. Pasta with a sauce made from eggplant, tomatoes, basil, and ricotta salata cheese. This dish is named after the opera Norma by Vincenzo Bellini, who was born in Catania.
