The Istanbul patisserie Karaköy Güllüoğlu is among my favorites. It was founded in 1843 and is very popular among locals. It focuses on classic Turkish sweets, and they also prepare a great Turkish tea for you.
The patisserie operates on a self-service principle. Visitors choose the sweets they want from the display cases and trays. The selection of different types of baklava is incredibly wide. The price is indicated for each sweet, and some are sold by weight. You pay for everything at the cash register, and card payment is possible. Since the patisserie is not in the historical center, the prices are friendly and lower than, for example, in another historical patisserie Hafız Mustafa.
If you have a taste for great Turkish sweets, patisserie Karaköy Güllüoğlu is the right choice!

Accommodation in Istanbul
I wholeheartedly endorse the Mest Hotel located directly in the heart of Istanbul. The hotel is elegantly renovated, the breakfasts are incredible and the views are spectacular. I last stayed here in the fall of 2022 and will definitely be back again.
