The weather outside began to give hope for an early arrival of spring, the sun was shining pleasantly. The choice for a trip fell on Karlovy Vary. Together with Český Krumlov, I consider Karlovy Vary to be one of the most touristy places in the Czech Republic. In such places, it is usually more difficult to find an establishment that is not a tourist trap. In Český Krumlov, this problem was solved by the Vrátnice restaurant, and in Karlovy Vary, after a long search, the choice fell on Le Marché restaurant.
Le Marché offers a lunch menu for 520 CZK (about 21 EUR), which includes one soup, three main courses, one of which is meatless, and a dessert according to the daily offer. During lunch, the restaurant gradually filled up to the last seat, people without a reservation would not have a chance.

The root vegetable cream was thick, creamy, and tasty. The golden-brown rolls were nicely crunchy. Very nice soup presentation. For the main course, I chose pikeperch with mashed potatoes and cucumber salad. I love mashed potatoes, and they did not disappoint me here either. The fish was prepared very tastefully.

The dessert of the day was a warm brioche with fresh fruit. A tasty and very nicely presented dessert that I would love to have again.

Of course, a visit to Karlovy Vary should never miss a warm spa wafer and a tasting of the Karlovy Vary mineral springs. The most charming spring is Svoboda (Freedom) at this time.
