An incredibly funny interactive show where you’ll learn everything about the preparation and history of St. Martin’s croissants. That’s the Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania.
Rogal świętomarciński, or the St. Martin’s croissant, is probably the most famous regional specialty of Poznań. And it is precisely this pastry that the Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania, located in the very heart of the city, is dedicated to.

🇵🇱 Tip: After a great Polish food in Poznań, go on one of the many city tours. It is worth it!
The museum is housed in a historic building in the Old Town, directly across from the Town Hall. However, don’t be misled by the name. It’s not a museum; it’s a fantastic show, where you’ll learn all about the preparation of the St. Martin’s croissant in a very entertaining way from two period-costumed chefs.

During the tour, you’ll go through the entire process of making a St. Martin’s croissant from start to finish, including baking and tasting it. Up to 6 people from the audience can participate in the preparation. Perhaps I was just lucky with the guides, or maybe the great “amateur” assistants played a big role, but it was one of the most entertaining gastronomic shows I have ever seen.

The tour lasts just under an hour and is conducted in English (and, of course, in Polish at other times). The English show also includes watching the famous Poznań goats at the Town Hall, which is right across the street. During the summer season, it’s absolutely necessary to reserve a spot online in advance. The entrance fee is 39 PLN (9.20 EUR).
If you’re in Poznań, love sweets, and understand English, then I highly recommend visiting the Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania.
Have fun!
