Mlýnec Restaurant is one of my favourite places in Prague. It’s due to the quality of food, pleasant atmosphere, service and most of all the absolutely amazing view of the Charles Bridge. Also the lunch menu, where Mlýnec offers three courses for CZK 495 (about 25 EUR), makes it my favourite destination.

Foie gras, figs, currants, red pepper and port wine emulsion for starters. A delicious combination, the starter was so large that I would have welcomed a half portion.

The main course was veal tenderloin with polenta, broccoli, prosciutto chips and mushroom sauce. Mlýnec knows how to cook beef steaks, the meat was tender and juicy, the polenta was beautifully decorated.

And finally dessert – carrot cake with sea buckthorn sorbet, cottage cheese and walnuts. Absolute perfection and for me the most delicious version of carrot cake I’ve ever had.
If you haven’t visited Mlýnec Restaurant yet, consider visiting. The food is excellent, the view of Charles Bridge is enchanting, the setting is beautiful and the price/performance ratio is very good.
Bon appetit!
