Field Restaurant ⭐, Prague: Michelin Lunch During Covid Times

Dan Špaňhel Czechia Updated No Comments

Field Restaurant is a highly acclaimed restaurant in the center of Prague, one of only two restaurants in the Czech Republic awarded a Michelin star. At Field, the head chef and co-owner is Radek Kašpárek, known from the popular competition MasterChef Česko. The establishment is renowned for its modern Nordic cuisine and impeccable service.

Field was awarded a Michelin star in 2016 and has retained it ever since. However, the coronavirus crisis has hit gastronomy hard, with all businesses facing a drop in guests and income. Field responded with an unbelievable offer, serving a three-course lunch menu including coffee for 590 CZK (23.60 EUR).

At the start, freshly baked mini bread is served with a selection of butters, perfectly seasoned spreads, roasted seeds, fresh herbs, and salt. I have never eaten better bread in my life.

Within the lunch menu, you can choose from two starters, two main courses, and two desserts. If there are two of you, I recommend ordering every course and, if possible, tasting each other's selections.

The kitchen at Field is partially open, so if you're as lucky as I was, you can watch the culinary symphony conducted by Radek Kašpárek.

Every course is perfectly seasoned and at the same time a small work of art on the plate. The wine list here is extensive, featuring bottles from around the world as well as a selection of local Czech wines. The sommeliers are knowledgeable and happy to assist you with your choice; they also offer wines by the glass to pair with your lunch.

The regular menu features dishes from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and is updated seasonally to reflect the best available produce. The restaurant offers a range of tasting menus.

A three-course lunch menu at the Michelin-starred Field for 590 CZK (23.60 EUR) is an unbeatable deal. If you want to experience top-notch gastronomy for a truly incredible price and support Field during these difficult times, now is the perfect moment.

You will leave delighted.

Bon appétit!
