Field Restaurant is a highly esteemed restaurant in the center of Prague, one of the two restaurants in the Czech Republic that holds a Michelin star. Radek Kašpárek, known from the popular competition Masterchef Česko, is the head chef and co-owner. The establishment is renowned for its modern Nordic cuisine and impeccable service.
Field received its Michelin star in 2016 and has been defending it ever since. However, the coronavirus crisis is merciless to gastronomy, with all businesses dealing with a drop in guests and thus revenue. Field has come up with an absolutely unbelievable offer, where a three-course lunch menu, including coffee, is available for 590 CZK (about 23.60 EUR).

To start, freshly baked mini bread is served with a selection of butters, deliciously flavored spreads, roasted seeds, fresh herbs, and salt. I have never eaten better bread in my life.

As part of the lunch menu, you can choose from two starters, two main courses, and two desserts. If you go with two people, I recommend choosing all the courses and, if possible, tasting each other’s dishes.

The kitchen at Field is partially open, so if you’re as lucky as I was, you can watch the concert taking place in the kitchen under Radek Kašpárek’s leadership.

All courses are perfectly seasoned and are also small works of art on the plate. The wine list is extensive and includes bottles from around the world and a selection of local Czech wines. The sommeliers are knowledgeable and will help you with your choice, and they also offer wines by the glass with the lunch menu.

The permanent menu features dishes made from fresh ingredients sourced locally and is updated seasonally to reflect the best available. The restaurant offers a variety of tasting menus.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo of the menu, so I can’t add captions to the photos. However, the three-course lunch menu at the Michelin-starred Field for 590 CZK (about 23.60 EUR) is unbeatable in value. If you want to enjoy top-notch gastronomy at an unbelievable price and support Field during difficult times, now is the right time.
You will be thrilled with your visit.
